Heirs to the profound vision of the Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, one of the founding fathers of the congregation, the CMIs’ have zealously worked towards providing value-based quality education to society at large down the centuries, irrespective of religious differences. The CMI congregation, canonically established in 1855, played a major role in revolutionizing the education scenario in Kerala in the late 19th century. Our education prepares each student to respond competently to the modern challenges and needs. Our innovative academic excellence is blended with the ‘service of the humanity’ aiming at societal transformation. We strive earnestly to attain the high apex of perfection through an ardent academic pursuit for academic excellence. The Bharathamatha College of Arts and Science, with our motto “INSPIRE TO IGNITE” is profoundly determined to actualize our vision. Over last five years we have built nice facilities for students for their personal well-being and academic excellence: The College started in 2015, a humble beginning in one of the existing building in the campus. Bharathamatha College of Arts and Science is an endeavour of the Preshitha Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) the first-ever indigenous religious congregation for men in India.
