While they did not announce a platform, the game was demoed live using Xbox 360 controllers, possibly because it was running on a PC. Cave also announced a home version of a 1998 vertical shooter called Dangun Feveron. Japan will get the combo pack next Spring. Cave won't be upping the visuals to HD, but they will be adding arranged modes. This year's event offered attendees a chance to try out DoDonPachi Resurrection on iPhone, Guwange on Xbox Live Arcade and also purchase rare goods (most notably, a beverage labeled as being the "extremely dark urine" of Death Smiles character Windia. The announcements came at Cave Festival, a fan event that Cave holds twice a year in Tokyo electronics capital Akihabara. Xbox 360 further cemented itself as the top platform for arcade style shooters this past weekend as Cave announced plans to bring DoDonPachi Resurrection and other titles to the platform. ![]()
